The best vantage points for viewing sunrise sunset in Chicago are to the west and south of the city, both of which offer complete views of the skyline. How to get the Shot sunrise sunset in Chicago

Just west of Chicago, this picture was captured from the top of the Rush Hospital parking lot. On a partly overcast summer morning, the picture was captured shortly after sunrise. This image was created using Photomatix to combine seven bracketed exposures into one HDR picture. About 2.8 miles west of Chicago’s downtown is where you’ll find Rush Hospital (LaSalle St and Madison St). It runs alongside the 290 (Eisenhower) expressway immediately.

I took a couple pictures before the sun broke the horizon before I got this one. Early dawn sunshine cast an orange and pink hue to the clouds. Although these pictures were quite lovely, I wanted one with the light shining through the structures. I took this picture around 20 minutes after the sun came up. In general, sunrises are breathtaking, and this one was no exception. I heartily advise you to take advantage of the opportunity to see the dawn from this location.

At Ashland and Lake, there is a Green line stop, although the hospital is about 8 blocks away. Additionally, if you don’t have to, I wouldn’t feel comfortable advising anyone to stroll through this neighborhood.

If you have access to a car, this is unquestionably the finest way to travel to Rush.
